Lord's Ladies Class

This is a class designed to provide study and fellowship for women of all ages as they experience their journey of faith through Jesus Christ.

                               Sunday, October 22, at 9:00 a.m.

We are involved in the study of the book: Women of the New Testament: Strong Was Her Faith, by J. Ellsworth Kalas! (Book is available on ebook, as well as paperback. Let us know if you need a copy.)

Chapter One was "Elizabeth: A Friend in Need"

Chapter Two: "Anna: She Knew How to Wait"

Chapter Three: "Martha, the Disciplined"

Chapter Four: "Mary, the Extravagant"

Chapter Five: "The Mighty Widow"

This next Sunday we will study Chapter Six: "The Anonymous Evangelist," pages 61 - 72.

This study is a follow-up to the book The Thirteen Apostles that we studied over a year ago. We really got to know those apostles, now let's give some time to the women of the Bible who made a difference!  "Kalas looks into the life and times of eleven different women such as Elizabeth, Mary, Dorcas, and Mary Magdelene. Kalas examines the Scriptures to see what we can learn about these women, what we can learn from them, and how each woman fits into, as well as shapes the New Testament story."

See you on Sundays!!!

From time to time we will return to our video presentation and discussion of:

The Visual Bible

presentation of

Acts

This video is deemed to be the only dramatization using the actual scriptures...word for word from the New International Version.

A description of this video of the Book of Acts:

"Journey with the physician Luke (Dean Jones) as he tells the enthralling story of danger, struggles, and triumph that marks the birth of the Christian church.

Share the times of mystery and wonder that follow the resurrection of Jesus. Walk with the risen Lord. Watch as he is taken up into heaven.

Experience the transforming power of Pentecost and catch the fire as God uses the passion of Peter (James Brolin) and John (Andre Jacobs) to send the flame of faith racing throughout Jerusalem and around the world.

Luke's powerful narrative brings to vivid life the compassionate love that unites believers across the ages."
