Mr. James Montgomery currently serves as the Organist and Minister of Music and Worship for FMC Ennis. James has been at FMC Ennis since 2014. He directs the Chancel Choir. He also directs the Handbell Ensemble. James has been in church music for over 30 years, having started playing the organ in church at the age of 13. Even before that , James played for offertories during church services while taking piano lessons. He began playing the piano at age 4 when the church he was attending installed a pipe organ and James knew he wanted to one day play pipe organs. James has served had the opportunity to serve churches through music in Texas and Pennsylvania. He has three adult children…Sarah, Taylor, and Chase (Ashton), and one grandson, Nicolas. When not busy at the church planning worship, James can be found chasing his grandson around.
